For more than thirty years, Ms. Madden has successfully represented her clients in all aspects of civil litigation. As a seasoned and successful trial lawyer, Ms. Madden’s practice has been primarily dedicated to defending healthcare providers accused of professional negligence and representing employers engaged in workplace disputes, including claims of harassment,​ discrimination, or wrongful termination.

As an advocate for health care professionals, Ms. Madden is Board-certified by the American​ Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. She has presented risk-management seminars at​ hospitals, clinics and professional medical conferences. Her practice includes representing​ physicians, surgeons, nurses and chiropractors in both the courts and before the state licensing​ boards. Her trial work on behalf of certified flight-care nurses was instrumental in leading to the​ legislative expansion of statutory immunities for these emergency medical personnel.

As part of her employment law practice, Ms. Madden advises her clients on legal compliance in​ hiring, disciplinary, leave of absence issues and termination practices. She also conducts​ workplace investigations for employers who are presented with employee complaints. She has​ successfully represented employers responding to complaints filed with the Department of Fair​ Employment and Housing, the Equal​Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of​ Labor, and in both the state and federal courts. She has presented numerous seminars for humanresources departments and corporate management groups in both the private and non-profit​ sectors. A featured writer, her articles have appeared in numerous legal publications, including​ The Job Description (published by the Employment Committee of the​Defense Research​ Institute), The Pacific Law Journal, and The San Francisco Daily Journal. She has also served​ as a mediator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Ms. Madden earned her Juris Doctorate from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento,​ California, in 1987. Thereafter, she joined Lynch, Gilardi & Grummer where she became a​ partner in 1995. In 2018, Ms. Madden founded the Law Offices of Madden & Lynch PC. She is​ admitted to practice law in the State of California, the United States District Court, Northern​ District of California, Eastern District of California and the Southern District of California. Ms.​ Madden is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

Ms. Madden is a member the San Francisco Bar Association and the Employment Law Section​ of the State Bar of California. Ms. Madden’s history of philanthropic work includes serving on​ the Bar Association’s Aids Legal Referral Panel and serving for over twelve years on the Board​ of Directors of the Felton Institute, a historic non-profit social-service provider dedicated to​ improving the lives of the disadvantaged in our Bay Area communities.
